2023 Rosemary Stakes Betting Odds at Newmarket racecourse

Friday, 29 September 2023

There could be a big field lining up in the Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai British EBF Rosemary Stakes, with as many as twenty-three runners taking part over one mile and it should be an exciting contest at Newmarket Racecourse. Coppice might have finished ninth last time out although the John & Thady Gosden-trained runner has been respected by the layers.

Potapova is yet to win in any of four attempts this term and the Sir Michael Stoute-trained runner can be passed over in favour of Queen For You who has turned in some bright performances this term. It will be a fast-run race on good ground and it will be interesting to see which racing betting sites are offering the best place terms.

2023 Rosemary Stakes Tips

Coppice has been running really well this season and the fact that Frankie Dettori is on board could see the horse be a popular selection in the Rosemary Stakes. There was a below par performance in the Atalanta Stakes in early September, although there were some good displays that preceded this, with the horse having won the Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot.

There was also a solid performance in the Falmouth Stakes when the 14/1 shot was able to finish fifth out of eight runners in a competitive race, with Potapova having finished third in the Atalanta Stakes and that means the bookies are respecting the chances of a runner who will have Ryan Moore on board the five-year-old.

Queen For You is another talented filly, with the runner finishing second in the Atalanta Stakes and it’s clear that this previous race could be the most accurate barometer of which horse is able to claim a victory. John & Thady Gosden could be ready to saddle the eventual winner and this charge was less than a length behind eventual winner Heredia over one mile.

Previously to this, the mare was underwhelming when finishing fifth out of ten runners despite being sent off as the 16/5 favourite. This was in a Fillies’ Stakes at York Racecourse, with Ameynah having finished fourth in the Longines Valiant Stakes which was a Group 3 contest at Ascot and it’s worth looking out for price boosts here.

When it comes to Newmarket horse racing betting odds, there are several meetings that take place during the course of the flat racing season. In September, we have a particular highlight in the form of the Rosemary Stakes and this is a listed flat horse race which always attracts plenty of betting interest.

There are several Newmarket price boosts that are available across all the best betting sites. Therefore, you can choose a specific betting selection and often get an odds boost about the pick that you want to back.

The Rosemary Stakes has been in operation since 1991, with this being a race which is open to mares and fillies. Previously to the race being run at Newmarket, this was an Ascot horse race and it was switched in 2010.

Able Susan was the first ever winner of this horse race when the three-year-old obliged for trainer Geoff Wragg, with Richard Hills on board the winner. The same jockey was able to claim another victory in 1995 when riding Hiwaya, while we have seen the rider later achieve victories when booked to ride Mowaadah and Tadris.

More recently, the Newmarket betting tips have been made available for winners such as Zanbaq, with this horse landing a victory in 2022. It was the second success for trainer Roger Varian who had scored with Dark Promise although it has largely been three-year-olds who have won the race if you are looking for betting trends.

If you are betting on the Rosemary Stakes, you will find that this encounter takes place on Day Two of the Cambridgeshire meeting at Newmarket Racecourse. Many customers also like to enjoy bets on the Rockfel Stakes as part of the same Newmarket racecard.
