Leopardstown racecourse is one of the biggest in Ireland. It plays host to the two-day Dublin Racing Festival which is jam-packed with Grade 1 races. This includes the Irish Champion Hurdle, Arkle Novice Chase, Irish Gold Cup, Chanelle Pharma Novice Hurdle and Spring Juvenile Hurdle.

Enjoy Betting on the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown

The Irish Gold Cup was first run in 1987 and attracts a top-quality field, with some of the winners then going to Cheltenham a few weeks later to line up in the blue riband event at the Festival. We've seen Florida Pearl rack up four victories between 1999 and 2004, while Galopin Des Champs was able to secure a consecutive hat-trick when obliging between 2023-2025.

You can also bet on Leopardstown encounters such as the Champion Hurdle, with this having originally been established in 1950 and the most successful horse of all has been Hurricane Fly. The Willie Mullins-trained charge was able to secure a victory in five consecutive years, while State Man and Honeysuckle have also been dominant more recently. The DRF strongly rivals the Cheltenham Festival in terms of prestige and it's traditionally either held at the end of January or the beginning of February. However, we have Leopardstown betting odds available for every single meeting throughout the calendar year.

This racecourse is south of Dublin city centre and holds roughly twenty-two meetings on an annual basis. Leopardstown plays host to a series of Flat and National Hunt encounters, with racegoers attending in all seasons to enjoy some top-class action as the leading contenders compete over a series of distances.

Leopardstown Hosts Flat Meetings in Addition to NH

You can choose to bet on the latest Leopardstown tips and there are a number of Group 1 flat encounters worth looking out for. That includes the Irish Champion Stakes which is generally held in September, while the Matron Stakes is another high-level showpiece which also has the highest graded status.

After the Flat season has finished in the autumn, Leopardstown then hosts a number of National Hunt meetings throughout the winter and spring. On 27 December, we traditionally see the Paddy's Reward Club Chase and Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle being held. A day later, watch out for three Grade One encounters in the form of the Christmas Hurdle, Savills Chase and December Hurdle.
